An oil seal is designed to prevent the leakage of oils, grease, water, chemicals, and lubricants.

Oil seals are built to endure extreme temperatures, and maintain their sealing effectiveness under challenging conditions.

Tereefek Solutions can offer a wide selection of oil seals made from materials such as FKM, and NBR. We provide various types, including single or double lips, with optional springs and cases made from stainless steel or rubber-coated metal.

Common Applications:

Oil seals are used to prevent leaks in numerous industries and applications, such as:

  • Dry running

  • High-pressure environments

  • Fluid separation

  • Manufacturing processes

  • Oil refineries

  • Automotive systems

Custom tooling can also be produced to create oil seals based on specific customer requirements.

Rubber-Cased Oil Seals:

Rubber-cased oil seals are the most widely used type of oil seal, typically chosen when metal-cased seals may not perform reliably. In environments with high temperatures and pressures, the flexible nature of rubber allows it to expand quickly, providing a tight and stable seal.

Metal-Cased Oil Seals:

Metal-cased oil seals are designed for use in housings made from the same material. This ensures that both the seal and the housing expand and contract at the same rate during operation, helping to prevent leaks. Generally, metal-cased seals are more cost-effective than rubber seals.
